The features most note apps advertise are exactly the ones we declined to build. Here's what we chose instead.
Every note is a .md file on your own disk. No proprietary format, no database, no lock-in. Open one in any editor — they're just text.
We don't ship AI autocomplete, rewriting, or summaries. Your ideas are yours, formed in your own head, in your own words. Use AI somewhere else, on purpose.
Why we said no我们为什么说不Your notes are encrypted on your device before sync. Our servers only ever see ciphertext. We publish an open-source security audit every six months.
Read the audit阅读审计Skypad is the only tool I've actually stayed in. Every other note app tried to sell me AI. This one tries to get out of the way. Anya Mehra — independent writer · 18 months on Pro Anya Mehra — 独立作者 · Pro 用户 18 个月
