Do I lose my notes if I cancel Pro?取消 Pro 后笔记会丢吗?

No. Every note you ever wrote is a plain Markdown file on your own machine — that's the local-first in local-first. If you cancel, sync stops and version history trims to 7 days, but your notes stay exactly where they were. Export runs the same on Free.不会。你写的每一条笔记都是你本机上的普通 Markdown 文件 —— 这就是"本地优先"的本意。取消 Pro 后同步停了，版本历史缩回 7 天，但笔记还在原地。导出功能在免费版上完全一样能用。

What does "end-to-end encrypted" actually mean?"端到端加密"具体指什么?

Your notes are encrypted on your device with a key derived from your passphrase, before they leave your machine. Skypad servers store ciphertext; we can't read your notes, and we can't recover them if you lose your passphrase. We ship an open-source audit report every 6 months.笔记在离开你的设备之前，就已经用你口令派生出的密钥在本机加密了。Skypad 服务器上存的是密文；我们读不到你的笔记，你丢了口令我们也没办法恢复。每 6 个月我们会公开一次开源审计报告。

No — and that's a product decision, not a roadmap item. The reason people stay on Skypad is that it's the one place that isn't trying to complete their sentences. Pro is $3/month if you send us a photo of your student ID, or any evidence you're on a public-benefit program. No application, no review committee. We don't make the form hard — people who need the discount shouldn't also have to prove it twice.Pro $3/月 —— 只要你发一张学生证的照片，或者任何能证明你在领公共福利的材料。没有申请表，没有审核委员会。需要折扣的人不应该还要再证明一遍。
